The project “Melted life” tries to link people’s daily experience with the consequences of climate change. It reflects on how local impact is a consequence of global phenomena, as well as how individual and collective actions produce global effects. Through the relationship between the micro and the macro, the work intends to point to the individual habits and social trends that have led to the current environmental crisis. These links are important because they connect global warming with human living decisions.
I look to expand the field of reflection in my work towards environmental, climatological, and historical concerns. Climate change is a crucial matter that has to be addressed by all fields of knowledge, including Art, which plays an important role in understanding the present as well as in imagining possible futures.
