My technique stems from interests in engraving, sound visualization, representations of data and the emergence of old and new technologies. Inevitably, there is a point of view, and due to my investigations with these mediums I try to offer new propositions. In the video work Neon Lights Flicker, Except in Galleries I used this method to compose an environment in which industrialization opposes artistic freedom. The video offers a contemplative atmosphere to question a dystopian scene where the artist is absent, yet the work remains and the message lives beyond.

I start all my projects by sketching in graphite and ink. For me, drawing is a way of thinking, a way to build a project’s final concept, thus sketching helps me plan for a larger more ambitious project. Overall my practice involves extensive research and planning prior to embarking on the main work. This research accompanies my production process and influences my problem-solving as part of a creative endeavour. That being said the act of making has always been the most solidifying method of thinking for me.
